Absolutely mind boggling that this is even a conversation. 🤦‍♂️

In a way, yes, it does boggle the mind that we are discussing something like this. But, and there's always a "but," in a Uniparty system like ours, where it does not matter a whit who occupies the seats of power, this kind of conversation plays right into the hands of the oligarchs who really own and control this government because it helps to maintain the illusion that we have a choice, that we can vote our way out of the malaise, end the endless wars, reduce taxes, control our borders, reduce government spending, conquer and eliminate the vast amount of corruption, etc., if we only allowed U.S. citizens to vote. Of course it is and illusion; no matter who sits in Congress or the White House, we have, and have had, the same policies, the same corruption, the same pandering to a foreign country that literally owns nearly every member of Congress and definitely owns our current president, the same total control of government by ultra-wealthy mega corporations, and nothing changes - nothing. Sounds pessimistic, but I can't see how voting harder or voting only by the brainwashed masses, citizens or not, will make any difference.

The SAVE act promotes the REAL ID which is a gateway to digital ID….which is a gateway to the digital prison they have planned.

I’m surprised you’re promoting this.

Luckily a valid US passport is also acceptable.

Ah, is that for real? No pun intended. Of course the backdoor globalists would use an issue such as this to obliquely usher in digital ID and thus enable a CBDC architecture.

My concern is that the Deep State (or whatever you want to call the uniparity, duopoly, false-choice diametric devils, etc) is already using MAGA to manufacture consent for many things that MAGA was explicitly against just a few years ago. Take quarantine camps for example – patriots were up in arms against them and for good reason (e.g. this Substack), but Trump has used the border invasion to rally sentiment for building new detention centers nation-wide. Sure, different purpose and different administration, but whatever totalitarian infrastructure is built now could be appropriated by a Leftist administration as soon as 2028 – just add a new crisis, and voilà: camps for us!

Regardless, I also can't believe voter ID is an issue, but I'm so cynical at this point that I do wonder if the uniparty-powers-that-be were basically saving this "card" so to speak precisely for such an opportunity to up their totalitarian game, when the time was/is right.

Dems scream racism to oppose voter ID. Histrionics mask their real motive which is fraud pure and simple. Look at the massive 2020 irregularities. No way was that legit.

The flood of unvetted migrants has become an emergency because some local governments allow them to vote illegally. This practice, which literally buys these votes for local

politicians who promise them privileges, is one among several reasons the Biden administration opened our borders, bypassing existing immigration laws. We should not forget that the 2020 Presidential election was rigged. The migrant flood had the purpose of keeping an illegal Federal administration in power by more election fakery, legalizing the vote for non-citizens or granting citizenship arbitrarily by an act of Congress. Whatever it takes to overthrow our system of government to facilitate re-assimilation of America into the British Empire.

We’ve come a long way since the vote was reserved for property owners in the 1700s. But the contemporary emergency of corruption at the level of local governments necessitates an emergency response.

That response is universal voter ID with proof of citizenship.

No system is perfect, but the elimination of election cheating is a priority that far outstrips concerns that a few citizens may not vote because they were unable … or did not bother … to obtain an ID.

Worry about this is a disingenuous preoccupation on the part of Democrats who never expressed concern over the extermination of Americans in our hospitals during the Biden years or the rampant cheating that put Biden in power to begin with. Let this point remind us that we can lose our freedoms and our very lives when criminals are allowed to corrupt elections.

The escalation of the use of Real ID's is not something I support. Real IDs = digital IDs = more tyranny down the road.

85% of americans want the save act. 95% repubs, 71% dems.

Why and how do these dems in our government get away with lying.

I've seen today, an elected Representative (D) claiming that married women can't get a new DL if they change their last name.

Spuds1964's avatar

People like Raskin are lying. If the married woman is still registered with the county under her maiden name, she can still receive a provisional ballot because her licence and poll book info doesn't match. This informs the county to update her registration so the following year is not an issue. Raskin isn't dumb, he is pushing to see how many dumb people will believe his 🐂 💩!!!

Jamie and his ilk should be careful...being convicted of Sedition had its consequences.

It wasn't Raskin but someone else, but people were laughing

I noted "People like Raskin"... Which includes Schumer who also reads from the same stupid script.

No one (in government) will be convicted of anything. No one is held accountable for anything.

The Republicans could simply nuke the damn filibuster and pass all the policies they’ve been promising to. But they won’t because they don’t really want to.

Swlion's avatar

Bobbie- there is a way to get the Save act passed without a filibuster: budget reconciliation. My proposal includes sample language for the Senate parliamentarian. Let me know your thoughts, link provided below. If you think the approach offered has value, share it with others, act now, and contact Congress and the White House: https://open.substack.com/pub/swlion26/p/save-act-update-standing-filibuster

Doesn't the fact that some blue states issue drivers' licenses to all illegal aliens mean the SAVE act has no teeth?

Bill Lacey's avatar

Assuming 7 Democrats will vote for the SAVE Act because of public opinion is wrong. Voting is also public opinion and doing away with rigged elections means the unpopular, radical and demonic policies of the Left will no longer succeed at the ballot box. So to avoid that, of course ALL Democrats will vote against the SAVE Act. They might be able to survive going against popular opinion if they shout "racism" loud enough. What they can't survive is secure elections.

Can an expired passport be used. I don’t want a real id. Can I take a birth certificate along with my NY drivers license to vote?

Marjory Morningstar's avatar

With you fighting for NY, the state has a good chance of reinstating some sanity including the philosophical/religious exemption to childhood vaccines.

I was recently told Wisconsin required seeing the birth certificate to add Real ID to the DL. When Real ID was added to my DL, I didn't know it would be brought up in the context that I wouldn't be able to go into the social security office without it when I went to a very small west side DL station of Madison (not the big DOT office on Junction Road since closed I understand). While it is possible I had utility bills in my purse, I certainly do not carry my birth certificate or my passport around in my purse. I do not think there was any way for me to have displayed my birth certificate when I was put on Real ID for my DL. My memory is that I was surprised by this at the time and unprepared for it and just went ahead with it because its disadvantages were not disclosed to me at that time. My memory is that I learned about it WHILE I was there and in the process of renewing my DL. It was pre-COVID lockdowns by several years, and I understand that the State legislature had not approved Real ID at that time. WI DOT was operating on its own based on its communications with the feds. So does everybody who has REAL ID actually have citizenship?
