Ok, I stopped reading after unauthorized migrants were called "immigrants". Nobody is detaining legal immigrants. An attorney is expected to know the difference and not to fall for manipulation.
I don't know anything about purchasing warehouses (any links to official documents?) but currently the immigration court backlog is HUGE https://tracreports.org/immigration/; mostly due to the previous administration open border policies but it started to grow already in 2019. If they hire more judges and ICE agents, and keep the border tight, we'll be lucky if it shrinks in 10 years. It's a problem for decades, if it's even possible to solve. If the warehouse owner stops renting, what do you do with the current detainees? Why do you assume that those facilities will go empty soon and be available for anything else? Even if the next admin opens the borders again, there were court rulings (5th and 8th Circuits) that unauthorized migrants "shall be detained" pending removal proceedings, according to the 1996 law (they can come out of parole if anyone is willing to be their sponsor). If Congress passes a new law, it may become a different matter, but I haven't heard of any proposals.
And how does it compare with quarantine camps where people are prevented from going home while unauthorized migrants can go home anytime? Trump is in the position of dismantling a “deep state” within the U. S. government and throughout western civilization. This appears to be an evil that has developed over several decades following WWII and the world order established at that time. Should he succeed in this reordering of the world order and firmly securing the western hemisphere we may have a chance of meaningful survival. However, it is not just the “deep state” and corruption surrounding the old world order that plagues us. There is a moral, ethical and spiritual decay that is endemic in our population that has created the kind of people capable of engaging in the sickening corruption we have witnessed over the last several years. I don't know anything about purchasing warehouses (any links to official documents?) but currently the immigration court backlog is HUGE https://tracreports.org/immigration/; mostly due to the previous administration open border policies but it started to grow already in 2019. If they hire more judges and ICE agents, and keep the border tight, we'll be lucky if it shrinks in 10 years. It's a problem for decades, if it's even possible to solve. If the warehouse owner stops renting, what do you do with the current detainees? Why do you assume that those facilities will go empty soon and be available for anything else? Even if the next admin opens the borders again, there were court rulings (5th and 8th Circuits) that unauthorized migrants "shall be detained" pending removal proceedings, according to the 1996 law (they can come out of parole if anyone is willing to be their sponsor). If Congress passes a new law, it may become a different matter, but I haven't heard of any proposals.
And how does it compare with quarantine camps where people are prevented from going home while unauthorized migrants can go home anytime? Government even gives them $2,600 per person and free tickets to self-deport, detention is for those guests who refuse to go home. ICE handling dissidents? The dumbest conspiracy theory ever.

I don't believe Attorney Cox said "immigrants". I believe Mayor Deb did. Attorney Cox refers to them "illegal criminals" (read the intro at the very top). Also, Mayor Deb is the one who brought up the concern about what will happen to these detention centers (in the future) once our government is done housing, "unauthorized migrants". My impression of your comment is that you were criticizing Attorney Cox and since you said you "stopped" reading after a certain point, then I felt you missed the whole discussion and point. Mayor Deb asked a hypothetical question that's all! Attorney Cox mentioned she didn't even think of these detention centers as a possible future quarantine camps. It is in the recording.
