Bobbie Anne, I really appreciate your substack articles and your courageous drive for our country and the people in it. I would like to discuss the 17th amendment. I believe that the 17th amendment has contributed to our downfall due to the fact it is a democratic vote of the people without proper representation of all the people or as I would say rule by the hordes. This is where in a state where there is a mass of people such as in big cities where they tend to be overly blue and in the suburbs and rural areas they tend to be red that people are not properly represented. This of course was put in in 1913 and I have read some of the history of why this was done. However I am not totally convinced. I believe that this is a major blow to our representative republic form of government. Our founders new their history and the reasons why they believed that this was the best form of government.

Then read Paul's letter to the Roman church chapter 1 verses 18-32 for why were are where we are as a nation today. God has truly given us up. After reading your piece I was reminded of some recent ads I’ve seen for “democracy.” I just searched for them and can’t find them. So, from memory:
They featured a couple of people describing what democracy means to them. No testaments to self-governance, resistance to tyrants, free and fair elections, etc.
Instead the people mentioned health care and various other government bennies.
It’s disheartening.
