I try but I’m amazed that people I know can’t or won’t believe that MSM WOULD LIE ! Even when I point out to them like in the Karen Read trial recently here in Massachusetts , their response is “ well everybody makes a mistake !” They refuse to acknowledge that they have been lied to!
I prefer to call the MSM the "corporate media" because they are owned by mega corporations and financial groups, and publish only those articles that advance the interests of these corporations and groups. That the Democrats and much of the Left supports the corporate media to me reflects only how successful the corporations have been in brainwashing the Dems/Left into thinking that big corporations serve popular interests. In addition, party Leadership in the Democratic Party and much of the Republican Party has made unholy alliances with the big corporations for decades now. That the Republican Party is not more overtly corporate is to me more of a reflection of 1) a few ethical stalwarts, like Thomas Massey, Ron Johnson, and Ron DeSantis who refuse to kowtow to Mammon, and 2) that the Republican base is turned off by the corporate propaganda which caters mostly to Left wing/Democratic values. Therefore many of the corporate Republicans are forced to appeal to their base, even though they can't be counted on to vote against the corporations in a pinch (they are therefore called RINO's but are really corporate Republicans). I wonder what you think of this viewpoint?

Crime stats might be reported by many in DC as being down but only because they have downgraded crimes so much. If you shoot someone and miss it is now criminal mischief and a misdemeanor charge, not attempted murder. They are doing this in Camden, NJ.. why crime is down there too. What a joke.
Democrats allow the homeless, largely drug addicted and/or mentally ill individuals to degrade the quality of life of productive citizens because no one will say no: "no, you can't camp anywhere you want", "no, you can't shoot up and leave your used needles lying around", "no, you can't shit in our streets", no, you can't panhandle aggressively". We did a huge disservice to the homeless themselves when we closed rather than reform our state mental health hospitals. We need them back to provide custodial care for those who can’t survive in today’s world unassisted. They also need to admit that crime in big cities continues to be a major problem and to quit allowing Trump to take control of this issue. Make fighting criminals a major priority of the Democratic Party and especially Democratic mayors. Why are they always on their back foot on this issue? There is no political logic to being seen as soft on crime when most of the victims of crime are the very minorities that Democrats are supposed to champion.
